Hello everybody! Given that not everybody uses Facebook, and we have this website here (that took me a long time to put together lemme tell you), we are gonna be posting updates and new stock and events and the like here! On our site!
For our first foray into blogging, I'm gonna do a quick run down of some of our newest board games in store (for anybody already prepping for Christmas because they're organised) and I'll chuck in a cheeky discount code for board games once we've gotten through my current faves.
Last Message!
As an investigator, it's a great break in the case when the victim leaves you a message, but when the criminal gets their hands on it and ruins all their hard work...
Last Message is a fantastic little deduction game that combines Where's Wally with Mysterium to make a crime game that relies on sharp eyes and quick hands. A short (15 minute) game that plays with up to 8 people, Last Message makes for a wonderful after dinner family game.
Loopin' Louie!
Stop this dastardly pilot from knocking your chickens from their perch! Better yet, make sure he takes out the competition!
We have had a demo of this game in store for maybe two weeks, and every single one of us is willing to drop everything for an excuse to "show it off". It's like Hungry Hippos but with strategy. With a wildly simplistic concept and an excellent execution, this game plays well above its weight class. And at $35 it makes a perfect game for the kids but will also see a lot of play from all the adults in the house. Can recommend, this game is incredibly cool.
Zombie Teenz, Evolution!
When the rest of your school is mindless to their hunger for brains, what's a teen to do?
Zombie Teens Evolution is a standalone game compatible with its predecessor (Zombie Kidz). Built as a strategy game styled for a younger audience, it has all the elements you would see in Dead of Winter or Pandemic Legacy, but manageable for kids as young as 8, with an amazing bubblegum art style that I personally adore.
The Isle of Cats is under threat from the evil Lord Vesh, but we all know how difficult it is to wrangle a stubborn cat who does not wish to be wrangled.
This game has options for every level of board game competency, from players who want a challenge in a solo game, to people looking for a beginner friendly game in their collection. A worker-placement and card drafting game with multiple ways to earn points and many cat families to keep together.
And last but certainly not least is a restock of one of the big hitters in the world of Strategy Board Games, Gloomhaven! Finally back in stock, we only have a couple available so make sure if you're interested you get in quick!
