Traffic Lights!

Traffic Lights!

Alright everybody, it's time for a breakdown of how we will function under this new Traffic Light system for managing Covid19 at Valkyrie Games.
This is gonna be a long one, so strap in!

The general vibe is that at any and all levels of the traffic light system, all play spaces and events at Valkyrie will be run under the requirement of a vaccine pass, while the retail space will be run without the requirement of a vaccine pass unless required. So I'll outline each colour in regards to both play space and retail space.

Green! Business as usual.

For the retail space, we require people to scan or sign in when they enter, sanitize their hands, and stay home if they are sick. While we won't have any limits on capacity at green, remember to respect other customer's space. While there's no mandate around masks, they are still recommended especially in spaces with no vaccine requirements, so we will still be asking both staff and customers to mask up in the retail space.

For the play space, we will require that you scan your vaccine pass with a member of staff before entering! While we won't be requiring ID on entry, we reserve the right to spot check vaccine passes with photo ID in order to ensure everyone is on the up and up. Other than those requirements, however, at Green the play space does not require any bookings, mask use, or distancing.

Orange! Caution advised.

In the retail space at Orange, we will be requiring masks and signing in, as at Green, but will be including social distancing measures and capacity caps to lessen the chance of spread. Again, stay home if you are sick, sanitize your hands, and make sure you're keeping your distance from other customers.

In the play space, as a vaccine required space, nothing much will change. We'll make sure that there's distance between tables, and will increase spot checks of ID with vaccination passes. Masks will still be required when leaving the play space for any reason, but will not be required in the play spaces themselves.

Red! Keep people safe!

The retail space at Red will be very similar to Orange, however we will close the bulk card drawers. Again, masks, hand sanitizer, signing in, distancing from other customers are all required at Red. If you're sick, stay home. At Red, while retail spaces are still open unvaccinated people are at a much higher risk, so if you are unvaccinated, consider using our online store for click and collect to keep yourself safe.

The play spaces will require bookings and social distancing between tables, and some events will change in order to accommodate health measures and precautions. While masks are not required at Red, we do recommend them, and staff will be using masks when interacting with customers in the play spaces.

While this may seem like a lot, we want to ensure that people can continue enjoying the games they play while keeping everybody as safe as possible. If you have any questions or concerns about the measures we have in place, please let us know, but these rules and restrictions are in place for the safety of staff and customers, and follow the government's suggestions.
<3 As of Friday, we will be at Orange, so make sure you've read over the requirements and we hope to see you soon!

Cheers from Morgan and the Valkyrie Team!
