Overview
This spintronic transistor is a voltage-controlled resistor. The higher the voltage on the top sprocket, the lower the resistance of the bottom sprocket. Transistors greatly expand the range of circuits that can be built. They are a critical part of many analog circuits and are ubiquitous in digital circuits.
Detailed description
The transistor can be manually adjusted to control whether the transistor turns on by turning the top sprocket (the gate) clockwise or counterclockwise. The transistor is fully on with a gate voltage of approximately 1.5 spin volts. Gate charge is 2.2 millispin coulombs.
